Dredging is the process of removing silt build-up from the bottom of dams/canals/waterways and rivers through the use of a high powered suction pump and hose. This increases the water volume and helps prevent weed growth. This process is especially important for irrigation dams where water volume is a priority.
The dredger is able to pump the silt up to 300m away from the dam or into de-watering bags.
